‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Boss on Sheldon / Amy trajectory

Are Sheldon and Amy still your favorite couple on “The Big Bang Theory“? Well, we imagine that they are still going to find a way to be together moving forward, even in the wake of what Jim Parsons’ character did to her at the end of season 7. He basically scoffed at the notion of living with her, but maybe after several weeks on the road and with the help of no one, maybe he’ll be in a new place emotionally.

One thing that we can say for now is that it definitely doesn’t look like he will be in a new place physically. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Steve Molaro had the following to say about how these two parties are going to continue making subtle baby steps in the right direction:

“They’re on the same trajectory that they’ve been on since they met, and that is she is continuing to drag him along into this relationship, whether he wants to admit that he likes it or or not. He’s come a long way. She’s got him to a place where they hold hands and they kiss and they go on regular dates. While it may not seem like a lot, it’s a colossal amount for him.”

We imagine that for the time being, there really is no reason for any fan to be upset about a lack of progress. The two characters have made some positive steps, and they probably will continue to make some positive steps. Plus, speeding it up would take away from Sheldon’s character.
