‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Snapple Save help Blue Journey, Smoothini, Christian Stoinev?
For the second straight week, “America’s Got Talent” implemented its Snapple Save twist, and they once again implemented it very early in the show. Thanks to that, we’re going to provide you those in danger now, and update this article throughout with the results. (Other news: Check back at around 11:30 p.m. Eastern for more on our live podcast about this week.)
At around 9:12 p.m. Eastern time, it was announced that Blue Journey, Christian Stoinev, and Smoothini were the ones in need of the save. Just for full disclosure, we’ll say that we cast our vote for Blue Journey. They’ve got the most range as performers, and we feel like they are also bringing the most to the competition right now. Christian has somewhat lost his way, and Smoothini said he was going to step it up, only to then do the same tricks that he does in his bars.
Now, we present in order the acts who were saved on the night.
AcroArmy – We liked the choice here, mostly because it felt like they legitimately did something new for the show. It is nice to see a non-singing-or-dancing act in the next round, so we celebrate anytime that happens.
Emil & Dariel – We’re somewhat sad that we did not get to see more of Wendy Liebman on the show, but these two were, once again, a very good non-singing act. Hard to be upset here by the inclusion.
Mat Franco – The magic act was paired against Jonah Smith, just in case the show did not make it obvious enough that he was a favorite. Franco could end up making it all the way to the end of the road.
Quintavious Johnson – The other obvious result of the night, since it was him versus Jaycob Curlee. The biggest surprise was that out of all the singers on last night’s show, only one actually went through!
Blue Journey – The pick for the Snapple Save. Apparently, many out there must agree with us.
Christian Stoinev – Probably the right choice, and while we wouldn’t agree with Howard Stern’s “lazy” comment, we do feel like he was a letdown this week. There just was not enough to his act!
