‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: Very cryptic tease on new character

Is there a new character coming up on “Bones” season 10? It sure sounds like it, but good luck trying to acquire a whole lot of information about them at the moment.

The only thing that we do know right now is that it certainly sounds like there could be another baby coming onto the show this season, at least judging by executive producer Stephen Nathan’s new comments to TVLine on the subject:

“At some point in the not-too-distant future, we will probably see a very little person who cannot drive or feed themselves yet … But how that little person makes their entrance, and from whom, is something I’d like to keep to myself.”

Given where we were at the end of the eighth season, it doesn’t feel like it will be time for a new addition to show up for at least a little while still. While there will be a time jump in the premiere, we’re not talking about one that is so long that someone could be nine months pregnant and ready to give birth just yet. Still, it does only make sense that there could be another child added to the mix here somewhere, given that the show does have multiple couples even beyond Booth and Brennan, and that these characters are getting older now and starting to think about what their future could hold.

“Bones” premieres with season 10 on Fox in yet another new timeslot on Thursday, September 25. For a show that has been around a decade, it is certainly interesting that it feels almost like they are in a different time almost every year.
