‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Will Kaley Cuoco’s new hair be written into show?

Ironically, one of the biggest mysteries surrounding “The Big Bang Theory” this summer had to do with something that is on the surface so simple: Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s new hair. It is dramatically shorter than it was during season 7 … but was it going to be written in the show? After all, it was very well possible that they could just put a wig on her for almost all of her scenes.

Well, we now have a firm answer on this very subject, and you’ll be seeing a noticeably new look for Penny this fall. Speaking to Glamour, her co-star Mayim Bialik had the following to say:

“Yep, she’ll have it cut! They joke about it in the first episode between her and Sheldon. It’s fun … [In real life, she] wears it in a ponytail, she puts clips in it, she wears it every which way! She’s the best person ever. It’s super cute.”

On the subject of her own character of Amy’s future when it comes to Sheldon, Mayim claims that there will be some major tension coming up in the future for the two. After all, the guy did basically take off when she tried to convince him to live with her, saying that everything was happening far too fast for him. We would like to believe that their relationship will stabilize soon, though, if for no other reason than that they are one of the many reasons why we love this show right now.

The new “Big Bang Theory” will start up on Monday, September 22, and we’ll have some further news soon!
