‘The Newsroom’ season 3: When could a full trailer featuring Jeff Daniels, cast arrive?
Around a month or so ago, we predicted that the first trailer for “The Newsroom” season 3 would arrive on the night of the “True Blood” series finale, and we in turn were lucky enough to see that come to fruition.
So now, we’re here to discuss another big topic: When could there actually be a full trailer, where you could do something other than just speculate on what you are seeing in some tiny clips? Well, we’ve got some sort of answer there for you, as well: Probably pretty soon. It won’t likely come tonight, given that HBO would be very silly to release something on a night when nobody is around.
Instead, we would not be shocked if next week, on the same night as the finale for “The Leftovers” and the premiere for “Boardwalk Empire,” HBO either releases a new teaser or a full trailer, and also announces a premiere date. The fact that the show doesn’t have one yet is pretty surprising, other than of course the month of November. The earliest we could expect the show is Sunday, November 2, given that “Boardwalk Empire” ends the week before. This would allow the show a chance to air all six of its episodes weekly, and still be through by December 7. That means the show can end well before the holiday season really gets crazy for some people.
With all of this being said, we don’t expect a billion trailers or video previews for the show to come out. Simply put, there is really not enough material out there related to the show to justify it.
