‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: Donny faces the truth
The long, depressing week in the “Big Brother 16” house continued again Saturday night, where we basically heard the news that Donny would most-likely be voted out of the game. Also, we heard Derrick trying to whine and cry about it like he wasn’t the one really responsible for it in the first place.
Why do we not like Derrick as much as we should? It’s complicated, but it starts back with the notion that he is not playing an honest game to anyone. He lies in the Diary Room to us as a means of continuing his Team America pandering, and then lies to everyone in the house. If he did that and was honest with us about it, he’d be close to beloved. This is what the great players tend to do, whether you are looking at Dan Gheesling, Will Kirby, or anyone else. Regardless of whether or not you liked him, even Andy last year was very good at making himself clear at least to us.
There is no doubt that Derrick is playing one of the best games so far that we’ve ever seen. It’ll be final seven before he even goes on the block at least, and if one of the Detonators in his alliance (or himself) wins, it’s likely that he will stay off the block.
So Donny knows he is screwed, and it doesn’t seem like anything came out of the whole “Scorpion” viewing party that he had with Cody and Nicole after Cody won the Veto. Cody’s strategy for that mostly was just that the two were Have-Nots, and it felt like the right thing to do to at least let them eat.
We’ll close with a little reminder here that there is still a day until the Veto Ceremony, and things therefore could change somehow … it just doesn’t seem very likely that they will.
