‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16: See Mariska Hargitay’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge now!

It may have taken a few days, but the cast of “Law & Order: SVU” is starting to get in on the fun (and when it comes to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge). Of course, this starts with series star Mariska Hargitay.

In the video HERE, you can see the actress behind Olivia Benson respond to a challenge by her former co-star Chris Meloni, and she goes on to challenge her co-stars Danny Pino, Raul Esparza, and Kelli Giddish. The one thing that makes this particular video stand out, save for the fact that it’s Mariska doing it, is the impressive camera work involved. How many other times do you get to see a challenge from the perspective of the bucket itself?

Like many of her co-stars right now, Hargitay decided to take part in her challenge while also remaining busy at work. Season 16 is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 24, and we will hopefully have a whole lot more in the way of news on the subject before that time.

Of course, we have to mention once again the great impact that videos like these have to raise awareness and money for ALS, which has received a tremendous amount of time in the spotlight this month when it often does not.
