‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 3 preview: Can Cullen get his job back?
On Saturday night’s all new episode of “Hell on Wheels,” the great news for Cullen Bohannon is that he no longer has to call Fort Smith his home. The bad news? He is not exactly going back into Cheyenne with the promise of employment.
In the sneak peek video below, you learn quickly that Durant is not entirely interested in giving Anson Mount’s character his job back, and for a variety of different reasons.
- He’s Durant. We imagine that the guy really likes to screw people over.
- With the whole Fort Smith situation in the past, Durant may not want the extra baggage around.
- He doesn’t have any reason to fire the man in charge of operating the railroad now.
- He simply feels confident that he doesn’t need him anymore to get the job done.
Durant also gives a sort-of-nice greeting in the sneak peek to Naomi, who is now experiencing this world for the first time after growing up in seclusion. We are still very interested in seeing how she adapts to this world. While she is very sheltered, there is still a worldly quality to her in that she understands the feelings of others, and is probably not anywhere near as naive as she originally lets on to those around her.
By the end of this episode, hopefully we’re going to see Cullen get close to the railroads again. After all, it is incredibly difficult to imagine them or the show working without this connection being there. Instead, you have a rugged guy just running around on job interviews.
