‘Big Brother 16’ live feed spoilers: Derrick and the quest for pawns

Derrick -Tonight on “Big Brother 16,” what we really learned above all else is that Derrick is really on “walking on eggshells” mode now. While he was lucky enough to win Head of Household for a second time, he’s in a tricky position. Part of him wants to stay Head of Household and ensure that the right person leaves, while the other part of him wants to not look like the guy who keeps winning competitions. This is the fourth time that Frankie has won at least a share of the power, and this is another reason to paint a target on his back.

For the time being, though, the plan here is clear: Try to put Donny on the block to get him out. Even with Team America existing, there is a time for Donny to leave and that time seems to be now. Unfortunately, there are some other problems that could ultimately keep that from happening, with one of the biggest ones being what happens in the event that Donny actually wins the Battle of the Block.

For the time being here, the plan is to nominate “The Beard” alongside a pawn, and someone who will have no problem throwing a challenge. Zach has seemingly already “volunteered” to do the honors, and if Derrick can do this, this will allow him the opportunity to remain HoH for the rest of the week and keeps Frankie open as a backdoor target. In the event that Donny wins the Veto and removes himself from the block, Zach exists as an option, and so does either Frankie or Victoria.

Unfortunately, the struggle is going to be finding two people who want to go on the block against Donny and Zach. What happens if these two actually band together and decide that they want to win the competition? This could be a very smart move for Zach to make for his long-term game right now, given that he and Donny could align and try to pull in another person or two. If you’re not making it to the end as current constructed, take a few chances!

One other idea is to nominate Donny and Zach against each other if you want to ensure that you have a chance to take out a target, but this seems unlikely for the moment.
