‘Big Brother 16’ review: The eviction, the next Head of Household, and Dallas Cowboys

Big Brother -Tonight’s “Big Brother 16” episode was one of the most useless of the entire season … or at least for the first forty minutes of it or so.

The truth is here is that everyone knew going into it that Nicole was leaving the game, and that it would be a unanimous vote. There was not going to be any other way to settle the score. The only thing that was slightly irritating was how Derrick seems like he’s not being entirely honest about his reasoning when he votes people out, and that Julie Chen annoyingly asked Nicole about Frankie’s sister being Ariana Grande … which to us feels like a step outside the game since that is validation that this is true, and we wouldn’t do that if we were Julie.

Now, major boos for the Dallas Cowboys segment. We don’t even hate the Cowboys in the way that many in America do, but this was such a waste of time from the game. If this cross-promotion gets CBS a single viewer, we’d be shocked. Also, the houseguests talked on the live feeds like Jessie was going to be there, and then he wasn’t. Why get our hopes up like that?!!

Really, the only part of this that was interesting was the Head of Household competition, which still stunk somewhat because we’re waiting for an endurance. It was instead a Q&A – memory task … and Derrick and Frankie won it. Ugh. This is going to be a long week. Donny will probably go home at the end of it unless Zach gets thrown under the bus again, and we’re going to see a series of Frankie shout-outs and Ariana talk all week long. This is going to be a long few days for us, and it also stinks given that it most likely prohibits a big move being made. Grade: C-, only because of the Rachel interview at the end.
