‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Jericho’ alum lands creepy role

If you are guest-starring on an episode of “Criminal Minds” and are a reasonably well-known actor, it is not too hard to assume that you are probably playing a pretty creepy person. In the case of Alicia Coppola right now, that has turned out to be true.

According to a new report coming in from TVLine, Coppola (best known for her work on another CBS show in “Jericho”) will take on the guest role in the fourth episode of season 10 as Lisa Randall, the head of a support group for those suffering from Morgellons syndrome. (This is a disease where people believe that they have some sort of insane infestation of parasites or other ailments, when it is not actually the case.) Given that this character is someone who is willing to do just about everything to protect the members of her group, this could lead to trouble down the line for the BAU.

Save for this casting and of course the high-profile new addition of Jennifer Love Hewitt to the show’s cast, producers have been very tight-lipped regarding what is going to be coming up on the show the rest of the way. We can assume that there will be more dramatic sequences for all of the cast as they struggle to adapt to a new team member, but otherwise more of the same. This is not a show that has drastically changed its mission statement a whole lot since the very beginning, so there is no reason to think that they are going to do so a decade in.
