‘Big Brother 16’ review: Covering the double eviction, Zach’s antics, and more live

Zach -Since this is one of the most exciting nights of the entire “Big Brother” season for us, we’re going to have a different strategy  for covering this episode: We’re doing so live! Keep checking back for further updates throughout the night.

First eviction – First of all, hats off to the production team for putting together the turnaround to keep Zach package. The Detonators all kept their word to each other, and blindsided Hayden and Nicole (along with Donny) by sending Jocasta home in a 6-2 vote. Seeing her and Hayden so confused after the fact was fairly entertaining, almost as much as Zach trolling, yelling “who’s going home next?” in the background.

Head of Household Competition – The moment that two-thirds of the house was eliminated after a math question, it was clear the Detonators were going to keep chipping away … and Caleb somehow managed to win this. Math mode cowboy, anyone? The only thing funnier than this was Zach victory-dancing and proclaiming that he was going to sleep on the couch the rest of the night.

Nominations – Caleb put up Hayden and Donny, which we’re not too shocked by since they are larger threats seemingly than Nicole. She’ll probably be the backdoor plan in the event one of them wins the Veto.

Power of Veto – It’s another Old Man Beatdown! Donny managed somehow to outrun everyone, find his rubber ducks in a Clown Shoe redux challenge, and get the necklace at the same time. This was big for a him, but we really don’t think it would’ve made sense to get rid of him now anyway. Now is the time to split Hayden and Nicole up. He of course used the necklace, and Nicole was the replacement nominee.

Eviction – Hayden went home before Nicole in a 5-2 decision, which contained plenty of throwing under the bus of both Frankie and Christine as they were labeled as responsible for planting seeds about Zach.

Overall, an excellent episode of “Big Brother.” Seriously. We’re trying to catch our breath. Grade: A.
