‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: The (reported) first two episode titles are…
“Supernatural” did an interesting thing this year, as they actually filmed the third episode of the season (directed by none other than Jensen Ackles) before the other two.
However, we are now lucky enough to know the names of the first two installments, at least per a report from SpoilerTV, and they sound … interesting? They are certainly ambiguous. (Know that this show does have a history of changing up titles after the fact, so we wouldn’t write down either of these with a permanent marker.)
Episode 10×01, “Black” – Usually the show gives you longer, more clever names than just a color. Maybe this is an indication of Demon Dean’s soul right now?
Episode 10×02, “Reichenbach” – This one to us is definitely strange. Could it be a tribute to empiric research proponent Hans Reichenbarch, the location of a certain series of waterfalls in Germany, or former “Survivor” contestant Erik Reichenbach? It’s probably none of the three … but your guess is as good as ours here.
We can’t say that either of these names are going to go down in our annals of the great episode title to ever hit the show, but not a whole lot can after nine years. All we know for now is that the show will premiere with Dean is his new, very-dark place, and his brother Sam is not only going to figure out what in the world happened to him, but also if there is a way that he can possibly help him recover. Expect this story to be a slow burn, and not something that changes overnight or in a single episode.
