‘Big Brother 16’ review: Did Nicole study the Big Brother Dictionary wrong?

Nicole -We cannot really sit here and sing the praises of Sunday’s “Big Brother 16” episode, mostly because it feels right now like we are starting to become somewhat mired in what is a pretty disappointing part of the season. Everyone in the game is relatively cowardly other than Zach, so nobody is willing to say anything to give us something fun to watch.

Also, the only interesting part of tonight other than the Battle of the Block was seeing Nicole’s attempt at replicating Zach’s insane Head of Household speech from last week, which included the bizarre “Froot Loop dingus” line. It was totally fair that she put Zach up on the block, even using the Big Brother Dictionary line that Zach threw at Christine. However, suggesting that Evel Dick is one of the few true supervillains? Hilarious. What about Dr. Will, who was basically playing the Zach game, but about a hundred times better? Also, we love how Donny used the word “diluted” to justify how putting Victoria on the block alongside Caleb got little blood on his hands.

So rather than talk about some other strategic moves, let’s just go into a few random little moments we found funny:

  • Caleb trying to hit on Nicole’s friend in the HoH room photos the same day that Amber was evicted from the game.
  • Donny’s letter almost being appropriate for Cinemax.
  • Zach doing his typically brand of being bombastic, only to have nothing work out for him in the end.
  • Just the sole idea of some of the punishments in the Battle of the Block, from the Adam & Eve outfits to slop. Surprised that Zach didn’t take many of them? Well, that should surprise no one at this point.

We just wish that there was something super-interesting happening on the show right now. We like the cast, but we somehow still find ourselves wanting much more. Grade: C.
