‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: Dissension on the journey to DC
While part of “The Walking Dead” season 5 will focus on the attempted escape from Terminus by most of the cast, there is another major component to it per the recent Comic-Con trailer: The attempt by the characters to make it to Washington DC, where they try to allow Eugene the opportunity to get the cure.
Does he really have it? That is just one of the noble questions that has been raised, but there’s nothing that anyone has been fully addressed just yet. All we can say officially right now is that there is going to be plenty of conflict in the decision. Just take a look at what executive producer Gale Anne Hurd had to say on the subject via Zap2It:
“If you think about it, there are going to be optimists, there are going to be pessimists, there are going to be people that think going back into an urban setting is going to be very dangerous, because we’ve seen that many urban settings are essentially the City of the Dead … I don’t think the debate is over yet over what’s a good idea and what isn’t.”
In the end, we certainly believe that going back to an urban center is going to be very dangerous for everyone involved, and the only real question you can ask about it right now is if anyone is going to have that much better of an option available to them. It’s either hide out and live for a while only to battle zombies later, or try to get the cure to Washington for the good of all mankind.
What do you think could happen on the road to DC, and do you believe Eugene? We want to hear all of your thoughts on the subject below!
