‘The X Factor’ notes: Amelia Lily, Union J, Alex & Sierra videos galore
This “X Factor” updates article is really all about videos, given that we have a trio of them from former contestants across two separate continents.
Amelia Lily’s “California” – Remember Amelia? She’s come out with some pretty solid trance music since the show, but this song feels a little more in the traditional pop lane than anything that she’s done as of late. It’s a lively, colorful video, and also a reminder that she still has some talent and untapped potential. We’re lucky that she was even brought back during her season to begin with after getting a little bit of a raw deal.
Union J – These guys have long remained one of our favorite boy bands on the show, mostly because they all seem to get along very well, and have committed themselves to making music that goes beyond just the typical demographic. They’re actually positioning themselves more for a long run in the industry, and not just some trend that will flame out in a few years when teeny-pop music is no longer interesting.
The video below is for the group’s latest track, which carries with it the title of “Tonight (We Live Forever).”
Alex & Sierra – While this video below is not for a new single like it is for the other acts that we’re highlighting in this article, it is still nice to see the pair getting to show off some of what it really means to be a modern artist. This is all about meeting fans in New York City, and also some of their recent publicity tour.
The pair’s new album, “It’s About Us,” is still available to pre-order.
