ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: When will Kerry Washington, cast return to work?

For all fans of “Scandal,” you better prepare yourself now for what could be a crazy season of action ahead. Olivia Pope is obviously not going to be on a jet plane with Scott Foley forever, and eventually, she’s going to be returning to Washington DC. The question is when this is, and what sort of impact she tries to have immediately.

In a post on Twitter, showrunner Shonda Rhimes confirmed this week that Monday is the first day of filming, and that is therefore when Kerry Washington, Foley, and the rest of the group are going to get back to work on trying to turn some of these super-intense scripts into shows.

Outside of Olivia’s journey, though, we also know that there are a few other interesting stories that have to be touched on … which include the following:

1. Whether or not Huck and Quinn can actually have something resembling a relationship, or if Huck confronting his past is going to have a huge impact on his future.
2. If Abby can actually be a successful Gladiator (if Gladiators still even exist) while Olivia is gone.
3. What happens now with Rowan, presuming that he even makes it to the start of the fourth season alive.
4. If we will see a recovered Fitz and Mellie after the death of their child. We know that they wanted to stay in the White House, but this is a huge consequence that they certainly did not expect.

The new season of “Scandal” is going to premiere on ABC Thursday, September 25, but we will of course have way more news until then.
