‘Longmire’ season 3: Katee Sackhoff, Robert Taylor, more celebrate Longmire Days
There are the sort of stories that we really love hearing about and writing, since they by and large symbolize the sort of love and affection that the world of TV can have to people out there. A show like “Longmire,” which is in turn based on the Craig Johnson book series, can bring attention to a town like Buffalo, Wyoming that previously did not have much. Basically, this town has fewer people living in it (less than 5,000) than you typically see on a New York City block during the daytime.
So seeing a celebration like Longmire Days, which is happening there this weekend, brings a smile to our faces. You have cast members like Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff showing up, and the you also have thousands of people attending from around the area. This is the second straight year that the cast reportedly has been in attendance, and there are also screenings and other activities.
Speaking to a local NBC affiliate, Sackhoff specifically had this to say about coming out and meeting some of the fans:
“It’s fun you know. It’s nice to have people come out here and support the show, and give a little back to the people who basically created the book….”
Taylor also commented that he never expected his character on the show to become as beloved as he has, but he’s certainly grateful for it and will not complain even for a second.
The momentum for “Longmire” right now may even be greater than it has always been. Monday’s episode was a huge one for Sackhoff’s character Vic, and one of our favorites of the entire series; we’re also getting closer seemingly to finally learning a thing or two more about who may have killed Walt’s wife.
We’ll have some more news on the show tomorrow, including a review and a preview for what lies ahead. Be on the lookout for that! Also, you can sign up to snag even more TV news via our newsletter.
