‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Chris Soules confirms interest, likely pick after Andi Dorfman’s season

While we wouldn’t say that you can write Chris Soules’ name in with permanent market yet as the next “Bachelor,” you can almost surely start to grab that pencil and start scribbling. This seems to be as close to a slam-dunk production-wise as possible. While we’d rather see Marquel Martin, we know that Chris is interested, he was not on the “Bachelor in Paradise” spin-off, and that both ABC and fans of the show really like him.

Speaking to his local Iowa publication in the Des Moines Register, Soules explained why doing another version of the show made sense for him, especially as a guy who probably does not get many times to meet women out in a small town:

“Just logically, it makes sense … You know, I live in Arlington, Iowa, and that’s why (going on The Bachelorette) made sense. … It was a good opportunity for a guy like me. And it’s an even better opportunity to be on the other side, where you have the opportunity to meet 25 incredible women. So yeah, I would definitely consider it.”

We would be out of our minds here if we did not even consider the possibility that this gig would also help Chris business-wise. There are more promotional offers and money that comes in from that, and it’s a great source of publicity for his farm and his area. This is something that Ben Flajnik experienced with his wine thanks to the show; we just have to hope that Chris picks a more popular winner in the end, and has a better overall season. For now, we feel pretty confident about it.
