‘MasterChef’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Leslie’s cracking over eggs

We’ve said time and time again that we want Leslie to stay on “MasterChef” as long as possible, even though we’re pretty sure that we don’t want to see the guy win. Why is this? It just has to do with the fact that the guy is completely quick-tempered, doesn’t get along with people, and produces great drama.

With that being said, we do know that the really can cook if he puts his mind to it. He and Ahran completely mended fences this past episode with one of the best dishes of the entire competition. He’s just not really showing it here in the preview for Monday night’s new episode. Specifically, it seems like Leslie is starting to completely crack over the eggs that he is being told to deliver in the team challenge. What’s the problem? Really, it seems like the guy is being ordered to do too much in between get the eggs perfect, get the toast, and of course get all the meats together. While we know from personal experience that you can make a great breakfast that looks like poo, that’s not what the show is looking for here.

Eventually, it looks like Leslie is going to get eventually moved off of the egg station so that Victoria can take over, and who knows? Maybe that will turn things around for the Blue Team. There are dozens of examples on this show where the team struggling during the challenge somehow still ends up winning, and that could be the case here in the end.

For now, though, this team is looking far too scrambled over their breakfast for their own good.
