‘The Newsroom’ season 3: Jeff Daniels’ new photo, and reason to celebrate
We imagine that today has to be a pretty awesome one to be Jeff Daniels. he just received his second straight Emmy nomination for “The Newsroom,” and given that he pulled out an upset win in the Actor in a Drama Series category last year, there is no reason to think that he would be unable to do so this time around.
So what has Daniels been up to at around this pivotal time for awards? Working, mostly. The show is still in the process of closing the door on its third and finale season, and Jeff even had a pretty funny photo to show for it overnight.
In a post on his Twitter account, you can see Will’s famous ACN anchor desk with a slight twist: There’s a baby on it, and nobody’s actually sitting in the chair. He also included this caption:
“Will McAvoy’s been replaced. Less news, more tantrums. #Newsroom”
To be fair, we’ve actually seen Will have a few tantrums of his own over the years, but we figure that he must be doing pretty good now. After all, he’s got a lot going or him: Operation Genoa may be somewhat in the rear-view mirror, he is engaged to Mackenzie (and may even be married by the time that season 3 begins), and he of course has all that money that goes along with this gig. It’s hard to envision him as anything other than pretty darn pleased with himself.
For now, the same also has to be true for Jeff, given that he has this and another “Dumb and Dumber” movie on the horizon.
