‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: The search for Jensen Ackles’ Dean
Where in the world is Dean Winchester? This will be a question that his brother Sam asks himself early on “Supernatural” season 10, as he starts to slowly realize everything that transpired at the end of last season. We know that he is now a demon, and cannot wait to see what unfolds with that.
Unfortunately, you’re going to be waiting still for a while. The only real solace that we can offer you right now is the first official synopsis for the upcoming season via The CW, which at least does a good job of making it clear some of the individual things that you can expect to see. This includes more action for Castiel as he tries to figure out how to stop angels, and also figure out just what place he has not in the world. Take a look at the synopsis below:
“Season 10 begins with Sam’s frantic search for his missing brother, who is gone without a trace. The road to recovering the wayward Dean takes Sam down dark paths, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core. Meanwhile, Castiel has to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron’s campaign. With his grace failing and rogue angels still on the loose, Cass will face the ticking clock of his own mortality as all-new threats emerge to once again push all of our heroes to their limits.”
Note that it is always possible that a few things can change in between now and when the season premieres, largely thanks to the fact that the show is just now filming some of its new episodes. This is the most excited that we’ve been about a Dean story in years, though, mostly because it opens the door to a whole avalanche of possibilities. Let’s just hope that in the midst of all the changes for him that he still manages to keep something resembling humanity. We wouldn’t want the old Dean to go away forever.
