‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Apollo Nida receives extensive prison sentence
Based on the ruling today, it looks like you are probably not going to see Apollo Nida on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” anytime soon.
Sources confirm that Phaedra Parks’ husband was just sentenced to seven years and eight months in federal prison for cashing stolen checks and ultimately laundering money to the tune of over $2 million. The amount of jail time given to him would have been much higher, had he not cooperated with prosecution and spilled secrets on other players and criminal activity.
What does this mean for the future of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”? Probably not that much in that Phaedra should still feasibly be a part of the show for a while moving forward. This is just another story that she will have to deal with, given that the responsibility suddenly falls on her more than ever to suddenly take care of all of the various things going on in hers and Apollo’s lives. We are mostly just surprised that she was able to continue to be strong and pretty quiet throughout the entire process that led to this sentencing.
This has been a very bizarre year when it comes to stars of the Bravo franchise and legal problems, given that Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe from the New Jersey version of the show are awaiting sentencing of their own. This was originally expected to happen earlier this summer, but was delayed following the death of Joe’s father. We do not expect the jail sentences to be as harsh in this case, but we will be stunned if either of them emerges without some time behind bars.
