‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 debate: Are the ‘Frozen’ castings over?

Frozen -This past week was huge when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” finally getting together some of its cast members from the “Frozen” franchise. While most of the castings were of relative unknowns, the one name that did generate plenty of discussion was Georgina Haig. The “Fringe” favorite was brought on board as Queen Elsa, and she is going to have a huge role throughout the first part of the season. She also continues the trend of actors from J.J. Abrams-produced shows coming on board. (Rebecca Mader was from “Lost,” which showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis worked on.)

So now we have a roster of “Frozen” characters on the show that include Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa on the show; but, what about everyone else? There are some other interesting people on the show, from Prince Hans to of course Olaf, the talking snowman voiced by Josh Gad who was a favorite with the kids.

If we were to wager which one of these characters we see on the show moving forward, we would say Olaf mostly for the reason that the character is so popular. Plus, you may be able to get Gad to come in to do the voice. The only real issue is creating good visual effects that work within the world of the show, unless you go with some sort of twist where you can represent the character in a different way.

As for Hans or some of the other “Frozen” faces, “Once Upon a Time” can probably do without them mostly thanks to the fact that in terms of ages, this is probably set after the events of the movie. There is no real reason to bring anyone else around.

What do you think: Should there be other “Frozen” characters to cross over into the “Once Upon a Time” world? Share below, and head over here to get some more casting news and much more. You can also sign up now for further TV magic via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
