‘Better Call Saul’ spoilers: AMC show will feature scenes after ‘Breaking Bad’

Better Call Saul season 1For those worried about whether or not “Better Call Saul” would have any dramatic tension to it at all, we have something to pass along that you are probably going to like: The show WILL feature flash-forwards to Saul Goodman’s life after “Breaking Bad.”

This has been a point of confusion in the past. There were times when it would seem as though the show would allow us to see what happened to Saul following his “relocation,” just like there were others when it was made relatively clear that this was a pure prequel. Now, we have an answer: It’s both!

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Peter Gould (who was recently named co-showrunner alongside original “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan) explained how the model of the AMC series is allowing them to play around a lot with what is the Saul story:

“One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ‘Breaking Bad,’ during ‘Breaking Bad,’ and after ‘Breaking Bad’. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ‘Breaking Bad.'”

Personally, we feel like the presence of Jonathan Banks is enough to convince us that the show will be primarily set in the past, but getting some of the future still excites us. It helps to make up for the fact, at least somewhat, that you are going to have to wait for a while for the series to come on the air. The show was delayed until early 2015, with the silver lining being that there has already been a second season ordered by AMC.
