‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: Robert Kirkman teases answers at Terminus

More news -The Walking Dead” has grown accustomed at times now to making us wait. For example, they made us wait for most of season 4B to get the characters back together, and when they did, they then made us wait to figure out what would happen to them. Terminus is not a nice place in the slightest. A train car does not seem particularly hospitable, especially when its very well possible that the people keeping you there are cannibals preparing to lunch on your flesh. (This is much more dangerous than zombies doing it; at least the most zombies can do is walk towards you.)

Robert Kirkman made an appearance on Entertainment Weekly Radio this week to discuss his new comic Outcast, but was also kind enough to share a few thoughts in regards to what we could see from this place, and the answers that we’re going to have:

“There’s a lot going on with Terminus … In our premiere episode of season 5 we’re going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, what’s going on with them. And by the end of that episode you’re going to have a much better understanding of what’s going on with them and why they’re so important to the show. Oh, and Daryl dies.”

You have to love Kirkman trolling his fans, right? How crazy would it be if Daryl actually DID die in the premiere? He’d have to lock himself up in a house in the woods to keep fans of the show from finding him. We do still feel like Daryl is not particularly safe in the long-term, but we’d be shocked to see him go in the near future. Plus, Norman Reedus still seems super-excited about everything that is going on.

All we really want to know immediately is what the motivations are for some of these people at Terminus, and whether or not someone like Beth, Tyreeese, or Carol could end up saving them.
