‘MasterChef’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Is this your idea of a perfect wedding?
We have a hard time fathoming from time to time what in the world would possess someone to want to have cameras from “MasterChef” present for their wedding day … mostly because this means that they are also catering the food. We would not trust the most important reception of our life in the hands of some people who occasionally put aside raw chicken and are still learning how to master things.
Still, this is the setting for the next Team Challenge, where Leslie and the man known simply as “Scottish Francis” have to try and lead their teams through a successful catering event, which requires cooking fairly fancy food for a variety of guests. The good news for them this time is mostly that they are not cooking for 500 people again, but the cuisine here is more challenging and there are also still conditions to worry about.
Also, there are teamwork issues. In the preview video below, many on Team Leslie are already complaining that he is repeatedly barking out “talk to me” to people in an effort to figure out where everyone is at. We actually feel like he is trying to do the right thing here, though, in making sure that everyone is staying on the same page. He’s just not compensating well for the fact that these people are probably tired, and getting more and more annoyed with him every time that this is brought up.
In the end, though, you really cannot judge anything when it comes to performance on this sneak peek alone. Why is that? It’s mostly thanks to the fact that the editing on this show often makes the team who looks like they are struggling the most into the team that ends up winning in the end.
