‘Orphan Black’ season 2, episode 10 (finale) spoilers: Tatiana Maslany and a final chapter

Can you believe that the “Orphan Black” season 2 journey is nearly at an end? This season has blown by, and while there could have been more that happened in last night’s episode to carry us to the finale, we’re still excited about where we are. There have been battles, there have been (literal) burnings, and there has been death already this season. Who knows what this final chapter for Tatiana Maslany and the rest of the cast will bring?

Let’s start here by sharing the official details. The episode’s title, complicated as always, is “By Means Which Have Never Yet Been Tried.” If you want to see something more than that, then just look at the synopsis below:

“The war with Dyad is all but lost when Rachel’s latest ploy forces a broken Sarah to concede. The Clone Club springs into action, uniting in a reckless gambit to save Sarah. As they fight to gain their freedom, Sarah encounters a new ally and uncovers a terrifying new dimension to the conspiracy.”

There is one more thing to be anxious about right now that is somewhat unrelated to the show’s story: Its future. At this point, you would want to know whether or not a cable show is coming back for another season; but, we don’t have that here. What is BBC America waiting for? We know that “Orphan Black” is not a smash hit in the ratings, but its production model and critical acclaim should be helping it out to a certain extent. If there is any further anxiety on the network part, hopefully Maslany will get an Emmy nomination and they’ll feel confident enough to give the show another go next year.
