2014 Tony Awards: Emmy Rossum, Matt Bomer, Beth Behrs, Kate Mara among familiar TV names

Tony Awards -There were some great moments on the 2014 Tony Awards, but before we really even dive into that further, let’s talk some of the familiar faces on the red carpet!

We’ll start here by saying that this is a TV site, so of course our coverage and knowledge is going to be slanted slightly towards those in this industry. Some of the well-known names that were a part of this group (and possibly also the stage) included the following:

  • Bryan Cranston – The “Breaking Bad” star also shined this year as Lyndon B. Johnson on the stage this year.
  • Beth Behrs – She stars on “2 Broke Girls” on CBS, so of course it made sense for her to appear … especially as a big-time theater fan.
  • Kate Mara – “House of Cards” is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her resume.
  • Matt Bomer – The “White Collar” star just appeared in the TV version of “The Normal Heart.”
  • Dule Hill – Following his time on “Psych,” the actor has been tearing it up on Broadway.
  • Zachary Levi – Since leaving “Chuck,” Broadway has been the home off and on for the actor.
  • Jonathan Groff – The longtime stage veteran now has a new show on HBO in “Looking.”
  • Zachary Quinto – Quinto had a great run on stage in “The Glass Menagerie.”
  • Tony Goldwyn – It’s nice to see the “Scandal” star around the stage community again.
  • Wayne Brady – Seriously, is there anything that Wayne Brady cannot do?
  • Vera Farmiga – More recently, Vera has been known for her role on “Bates Motel.”
