MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4, episode 9 preview: Jenna and Tamara’s tough reality

Awkward -Whenever you are in your senior year of high school, you sometimes have to take a minute and realize that there is a chance that most of your friends are not going to be in your inner circle anymore years from now. That may be a hard thing to swallow, but reality is what reality is.

This is something that Jenna on “Awkward” season 4 is going to especially have to realize during next week’s “My Personal Statement,” which is the second-to-last one that you are going to get an opportunity to watch on the show. This happens to be the installment that will lead into the midseason finale, and hopefully set us down the road on what we will be seeing later on:

“Jenna and Tamara view the possibility of separate futures; Eva plots to keep Matty and Jenna ousted.”

There is an interesting question that does have to be asked here, and that is whether or not we are getting set up for the ten episodes this fall to be the end of the series. Could “Awkward” end with graduation before 2014 ends? We have heard nothing of the sort, but you have to wonder.

Since we love offering up solutions, maybe it is possible that there will be a short season 5 so the characters can graduate around the same time that they would in real life around early June. Or, maybe a fifth season could be about the summer before college, which is always interesting and never quite explored on the level that it really should be when you think about it.
