‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Who’s the face behind the cracked mask?

“Pretty Little Liars” season 5 is coming on the air June 10, but before you get a chance to really dive in and enjoy this season, how about you take a look at the brand-new poster from ABC Family?

As you can see attached to this article, you have an image that is really reliant on one thing and one thing only: Masks. They are a big part of this show (especially in the past year), both physically and metaphorically. The latter of which comes courtesy of the fact that “A” is still wearing a mask, and everyone still has their own respective secrets that they are keeping from the others.

For those of you wondering about who is sporting the cracked mask, we believe based on both the show’s themes and also study of the masks’ faces that it is Alison DiLaurentis. After all, this makes a whole lot of sense. We’ve heard that Alison is basically going to come on board as the fifth liar in the new season, and will spend a whole lot more time with the likes of Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna. Is everyone else going to be particularly pleased with all of this? You have to imagine that the answer to that is “no.” We expect plenty of anger to shine through for Mona, and also confusion for most of the other characters in Rosewood. After all, how do you welcome back someone who was once dead? There is also the question about who is responsible for killing Alison’s mother that still needs to be addressed at some point.
