‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: Charlie Hunnam, cast prepare for production

Jax -Are you ready to see “Sons of Anarchy” back on the air? Well, you are unfortunately going to be waiting for quite a while in order to see that happen.

However, we can at least pass along the good news from creator / showrunner Kurt Sutter himself that the filming for the seventh and final season starts this week! Charlie Hunnam, Theo Rossi, and the rest of the cast, per Kurt’s “WTFSutter” video, are bracing themselves to commence shooting in California. The first table read for the first two episodes will be on Tuesday, with filming kicking off a little later in the week. Given the roles of Jax and Juice at the end of season 6, you have to believe that they will each have quite a bit to do on the show from the moment that things start up (at least for the viewers) this fall.

There are also two other interesting little nuggets teased by Sutter in this video:

  1. The show has cast one of its first major guest roles of the season, but for the time being he is hesitant to release the news for publicity reasons. We imagine that the official report will come out at some point after Memorial Day.
  2. The premiere and the second episode are going to be shot out of order thanks to scheduling issues; namely, there will be a break between one part of the premiere and the other portion of it. This is hardly the first time that something like this has unfolded, and it will not be the last.
