‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: What we know about James Spader series’ future
Tonight on NBC, we reach the end of the road for a show that we have very much enjoyed over the past several weeks in “The Blacklist.” It has been intense, dramatic, fast-paced, and above all just well-written for the most part. It is difficult to say goodbye to it for the next four-plus months, but this is alas what we have to do.
Now that we have said this, it is time to raise another question: Where do we think the show can go from here? This is why we’ve come up of a list of four things that we’d like to see happen over the 22 episodes ahead.
1. A definable big bad – We do not need the show to become a serial, but it would be nice to know just who we are chasing down other than people on a list every week.
2. A love interest for Reddington – We are insanely curious to know what a guy like him does to fall in love. We don’t necessarily want to see a relationship last, but this could be very fun for an episode or two.
3. Tom Keen fully explained – If Ryan Eggold sticks around as a regular again, make it a little clearer what his role is, and have the drama be more about his relationship with Liz.
4. Make the FBI interesting – So far, most of the agents other than Ressler are completely boring and interchangeable. If this is going to go from being a great show to an amazing show, this needs to change.
