‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 23 (finale) spoilers: Diggle, Deadshot, and a showdown at ARGUS
On Wednesday night’s “Arrow” finale, be prepared to say hello again to at least two familiar faces in Deadshot and Lyla. While not every member of the Suicide Squad is going to return in this episode, you will at least see John Diggle’s girlfriend and Floyd Lawton again for the first time since that pretty-awesome episode earlier this season.
Based on what we have here in the attached photo, it also looks like the confrontation here is going to be quite the testy one between Diggle and Amanda Waller first and foremost. She wants to blow up Starling City to keep Slade’s army from going out, while everyone on Diggle’s side seems to want to stop her. We understand both positions here, actually; Waller is not so much a villain as she just is someone who is genuinely interested in the greater good.
This at least gives us a better inclination as to where “Arrow” is going in regards to the Diggle storyline for the finale, and we are happy about this given that it gives him something awesome to do. He has a chance to be his own hero rather than just Oliver’s backup, and it also prevents him from being lost in the shuffle. Let’s just hope that he sticks around, given our irrational fear of him dying at almost any given moment thanks to him not being in the comics.
Please, more Diggle in season 3! We’re also on board with our dream Suicide Squad spin-off, especially if it means we get to actually see Harley Quinn.
