‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 finale spoilers: Hook and Emma’s unusual identities

For someone who made her living in the real world tracking down bad guys using whatever methods it took, you would think that Emma Swan would craft also every single aspect of her plans down to the finest detail. However, we have now learned when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” that this may not always be the case.

In the latest sneak peek video below from the two-hour finale on Sunday, you can see quite a bit of drama shake down when it comes to Emma and Hook seemingly stuck in another era. Since ABC already spoiled it themselves, we’ll go ahead and tell you that the two characters end up being transported into the past as a result of the spell cast by Zelena, and they now have to make sure that they do not ruin anything that happens back then and change the future. Quick, someone call Marty McFly!

This entire clip is pretty fun, especially when it comes to the names that Emma makes up at a drop of a hat: Prince Charles for Hook, and then Princess Leia for herself. It’s a nice little nod to the fact now that “Star Wars” is now owned by ABC’s parent company Disney, and given the sort of sci-fi fans that co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are, we’re sure that this was not lost on them as this scene was being filmed.

Could this blast into the past cause Jennifer Morrison and Colin O’Donoghue’s characters to grow closer … or romantic? It’s hard to say, but we are certainly rooting for it.
