NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 spoilers: More on the flaming wheelchair

Hannibal -Hannibal” is a show that gets to deal with many luxuries, and of them is the opportunity to play off a number of great images and things that have become iconic thanks to the movie and the book and give them a whole new identity. This is something that is extremely exciting to watch play out, and you are definitely going to get some chances to see that Thursday night.

As discussed in our podcast earlier this week, the infamous “wheelchair on fire” scene from the franchise will appear in Friday night’s new episode, but one of the questions that we had during our discussion was whether or not it was going to be Freddie Lounds in the chair. While this may be how the story goes in some of the source material, this is a show that does have a habit of changing some things up here and there.

However, a report from TV Guide suggests that it will in fact be Freddie in fact in the chair, which certainly suggests that maybe it will Will Graham who did away with her … possibly. We love toying around with theories, so what if the two worked together to figure out a way to make everyone believe that she was dead, and then find a different way to expose Hannibal? The only real benefit to Will actually killing her, aside from the information that she has, is making everyone think that someone other than Chilton is the Chesapeake Ripper … and his name has been cleared. But then again, is it really cleared at all if he is pulling stunts like this?
