‘Supernatural’ season 9 finale spoilers: The showdown with Sam, Dean, Castiel, and Metatron

“Supernatural” season 9 is going to be coming to an end in a matter of weeks, and based on what we are hearing now, the ending will be exactly as insane as you would have expected. The saga of Metatron may be reaching its end (with an emphasis on “may”), as it is going to be up to the likes of the Winchester brothers and Castiel to put a stop to him before he starts to enact potential punishment on the human race.

This episode airs on Tuesday, May 20, and it has a rather fitting title in “Do You Believe in Miracles.” Some of these characters are certainly going to need one. The synopsis below is not particularly revealing, but you can still check it out below:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) feels the effects of the First Blade, and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) makes his move against humanity. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean and Castiel (Misha Collins) face shocking consequences when taking the fight to Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong).”

To us, the most intriguing part of all of this is going to be what is coming up with the First Blade. We’ve already learned a thing or two about its effects, but could it completely devour the Dean that we once knew? All we hope is that it has a different physical and emotional impact than the blade did the first time around, and we’re not just looking at Sam and the Trials all over again.

Also, there has to be a cliffhanger here, right? The show knew it was coming back in plenty of time to create one.
