‘Bates Motel’ season 2 finale spoilers: First look at ‘The Immutable Truth’
When the season finale of “Bates Motel” airs on A&E next week, the show is going to pull out all stops to find a way to get closure to some of the stories this year. You’ll see more of the drug war, more of Emma figuring out what she wants, and most importantly, more of Norman and Norma Bates trying to figure out how they are going to live with the set of rules that they have created for themselves.
First of all, this episode carries with it the title of “The Immutable Truth,” and the synopsis below should at least give you some semblance of what you can expect to see:
“A tragic event from the past haunts Norman; Norma tries to prevent Norman from making a terrible mistake; Romero and Dylan find a way to end the drug war; Emma makes a decision about her future.”
The main reason to be excited about this episode is mostly because it marks another evolution in the character of Norman Bates, and you know that eventually, his character is going to go to an extremely dark place that you see in some of the “Psycho” movies. We are still a long ways from that, though, and the future of this Norman may still be very different from the one that we came to see in the Hitchcock movie so long ago. We certainly have become invested in this one’s story more.
