‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 19 video: Is Simon Baker’s Jane getting devious?

Is Patrick Jane purposefully interfering with Lisbon’s personal life? It’s possible, at least if you really want to believe that this is how far he is willing to go to ensure that Lisbon stays available to him.

In the latest sneak peek video below from Sunday night’s new episode of “The Mentalist,” Simon Baker’s character decides to call up Lisbon and ask for her help with what he thinks is a possible kidnapping. Why? He saw some evidence in a bag that was being carried in. Unfortunately for her, this call happened while she was out enjoying some time with Agent Pike, who she is getting closer and closer to as time goes by.

So what could the answer be as to whether or not Jane is trying to punk Lisbon and ruin her date? We don’t feel like that is truly it, since Jane is such a sly guy that he would find some other ways to win her over. There is probably a part of him that may be thinking that he wants Pike and her apart, but also another part of him that genuinely believes his hunch is correct. Just remember all the other times that the guy has made hunches without a whole lot of information.

Don’t expect a resolution to Jane and Lisbon during Sunday’s “Brown Eyed Girls,” mostly because this is something that will take a little more time to sort out. By the finale, you will at least know where this relationship is heading … and that’s a good thing since it could also double as the series finale.
