ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 20 preview: Emily VanCamp’s new role

You already know Emily VanCamp on “Revenge” for both Emily Thorne and Amanda Clarke, so why not go ahead and add another alter ego to that mix?

In the sneak-peek video below from Sunday night’s new episode “Revolution,” you have that courtesy of Rebecca Stone. This is an agent for homeland security, and it also just so happens to be one of the cornier names ever. We don’t quite know if we would believe someone in real life if they came up to us and said that their name was Rebecca Stone, but nonetheless, this is what the show seems to be going with.

As for the purpose of Emily getting herself another name, it seems to be fairly simple: To make sure that she has almost all of the information that she needs and then some. One of Emily’s best roles has always been as an information broker, and being able to leverage what she uses for power. While she does enjoy kicking some butt from time to time, we appreciate the more strategic side of Emily.

But, here is the other question that we have to wonder: Is this plan of hers going to even work with the help of Aiden? What we have quickly seen the past few weeks is the continued blossoming of Victoria as a serious threat once again, mostly because she’s not so blind to the signs anymore. She’s starting to really figure some stuff out! This, at least for Emily, spells out trouble … it could eventually spell her finding out the truth about who this woman really is rather than just a greedy person out to live the high life on her son’s income.
