‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion may lead to Porsha Stewart arrest
Just as if there was a way in which this “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion feud could get even more insane, we now have the following headline when it comes to legal action that is being taken as a result of Porsha Stewart and Kenya Moore allegedly getting violent with each other.
According to TMZ, Porsha plans to turn herself in to authorities on Thursday on charges of misdemeanor battery. The show has raw footage of the incident, and Kenya claims that Porsha attacked her when the reunion taped earlier this spring. While this happens, Porsha also reportedly wants to file felony aggravated assault charges against Kenya over what happened in this incident.
In the end, all of this stuff is really just ridiculous in the same way that this entire season has been with all the violence that has been shown on TV. While it’s not glorifying the actions, it is showing that if you make a violent act towards someone, you get a lot of publicity and that moment will almost certainly be included on TV. That’s incentive enough for people, and it further shows just how messed-up this show has really become. The same goes for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” who capitalized for years on people hating each other.
The real test of Bravo’s tolerance for this stuff will be just how much of this fight they put into the show itself when it airs. We’ll also say this: If you show up at the reunion with a prop like a megaphone, you are obviously just looking for trouble and to get a ton of airtime. That sort of ridiculousness shouldn’t be allowed if they are going to continue to do these things.
We’ll have more updates on this as it unfolds, but for now, share your reactions to this story below. You can also sign up to get further TV updates from us via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
