‘The Following’ season 2, episode 14 preview: Moving past Mike Weston – Lily shocker
Monday night’s new episode of “The Following” was not one that even tried to mask its myriad of shockers. What was the biggest one? The reveal that Mike Weston is becoming closer and closer to Ryan Hardy with each passing day. This show can be utterly ridiculous (and we want to barf every time Windows pops up), this was a rare moment for this show that actually shook us up a little bit.
So where is the story going to go from here? The next new episode is entitled “Silence,” and before we do anything else, take a look at the synopsis below:
“Joe Carroll puts his final plan into action, threatening the lives of many, as Ryan and Mike go to great lengths to stop him and prevent more innocent lives being lost. Meanwhile, Claire makes a decision that leads her into dangerous territory, and Mark and Luke attempt to figure out their next move.”
With Lily gone, hopefully the story can start to come together a little bit more than it has the past few weeks. It’s become much too complicated, and as great as James Purefoy may be, it feels time we say goodbye to Joe Carroll. It’s just not realistic that he could continue to stay alive for as long as he has … and this show has already expanded our bounds for what we actually consider to be realistic.
Given that there is only one new episode airing after this one airs, you definitely know that this are going to get crazy … the promo promises such.
