‘Glee’ season 5, episode 15 preview: Chris Colfer’s Kurt and a hate crisis in ‘Bash’

The wait begins -After an episode of “Glee” Tuesday night in “New New York” that we mostly considered to be just lighthearted fun, we were of course hoping for a little more of the same next week … but then again, so were the characters. The new setting is allowing for the opportunity to tell some more adult stories, and we’re going to see some of that play out in “Bash.”

In case you haven’t heard what the focus of this episode is going to be just yet, Kurt becomes the victim of a hate crime as he is attacked on the street for being gay. Even though New York may be a more diverse and welcoming part of the world than other cities, these sort of events do still happen. In the midst of all the fighting that happens (as featured in the promo below for this episode), the characters all still find a way to come back together for a common goal of supporting their friend.

Meanwhile, the official synopsis below for this episode also gives at least a small detail away in regards to what Rachel is working on next with “Funny Girl’s” opening night quickly approaching:

“Rachel takes the next step in committing to her role in ‘Funny Girl.’ Meanwhile, Kurt is the victim of an attack because of his sexual preference.”

The one thing that this synopsis doesn’t mention that it couldn’t (given that it was released over a week ago) is that Mercedes is also now with the group, which is going to give this an even more significant season 3 vibe than ever before. You have to be happy with that, right?
