‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion taping ends in Kenya Moore – Porsha Stewart brawl
Kenya Moore is a rather busy woman at the moment. Why? She is basically alternating jobs appearing on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and then also filming the reunion show for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The special itself will air in a few weeks, but what we know for the time being is that this is going to be one of the craziest shows in the history of Bravo.
According to a source from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 19-hour taping included all sorts of drama, including Kenya using a bullhorn, and at one point also basically egging Porsha Stewart to hit her so that she could get her fired. The confrontation did turn physical, and security stepped in to stop in. Kenya then, per the source of the newspaper, demanded that Porsha be fired and refused to be in the same room as her.
Before we do anything else, you have to throw major shade (to use a phrase really brought into consciousness by the show) at Bravo for really deciding that it was okay to put women who don’t like each other in a long, stressful environment where you are going to touch on all of the worst parts of their past year on TV. You are basically inviting them to get physical. Also, the fact that this is the third incident of a brawl on a “Real Housewives” series in the past year (including the one from earlier this season featuring some of husbands at the pajama party) shows that producers are not doing enough to discourage fighting.
As for whether or not Porsha actually gets fired, it’s hard to say. Given that Teresa Giudice is apparently still going to film “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” despite a prison sentence, we really cannot rule it out that we could see at some point Porsha staying for another season.
For now, what do you make of the reports, and do you feel like Kenya intentionally provoking the violence is something that should also be considered into the decision?
