‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: who was evicted; Canada is Head of Household

Andrew Gordon -On tonight’s “Big Brother Canada 2” episode, there was insanity … and plenty of it. The more that we saw, the more that we admit to loving every second of it.

The twist – From the perspective of the game, we absolutely don’t like the idea of Canada being Head of Household. It ruins good gameplay and turns the show into a popularity contest. But, at the same time, the part of us that wants some action in the house and on the feeds loves it. More drama! Someone on the First Five going home! This is going to be a very fun few days without a doubt.

Seeing the houseguests freak out about the twist, admittedly, was pretty fun … save for Sabrina’s sanctimonious “I guessed it first” remark. Who the heck cares if you figured it out? That matters is that we have a great week ahead.

Ika’s move – We really did feel very bad for Ika being put in a position to be “Topaz’d” and have her inner thoughts played for the other houseguests as she chose between $5,000 for her family, or giving her other players letters from home. She had to know to be more tactful, since this has happened before.

With that being said, though, we would’ve done the same exact thing in her position when it came to the choice. This is a lot of money to help care for yourself and those you love. If you know you are going home anyway, you cannot pass up that chance. It was sad for some of the other players … or at least the ones in Allison, Sarah, and Adel who were not cursing at her and calling her terrible names.

The eviction – Of course, Ika was the person sent home at the end of the episode, which continues the curse of “Adel’s pals getting evicted.” She went out with a nice speech, and we’re going to miss her presence in the game. She wasn’t a great player in that she made a billion mistakes, but she was good television. We’ll always miss good television. Grade: A- (mostly for not letting Ika speak outside the house until the side show).
