‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: Sheldon’s big change; Raj’s double-date

Here it is -We’ve said it before, but we’ll stress it again: While “The Big Bang Theory” season 7 has not necessarily matched the comedy of last year so far, we do appreciate their attempts so far to really show that these characters are growing and evolving. You have now Penny looking to really make a name for herself as something other than a Cheesecake Factory waitress, and Raj actually going out there and trying to talk to women. These are what we like to refer to as significant improvements for each one of them.

So while there is no new episode airing on CBS tonight, hopefully the official synopsis for the April 10 episode entitled “The Relationship Diremption” serves as a way to make up for it. After all, Sheldon is going to be the one making a big change in this one:

“Sheldon faces a personal crisis after deciding he’s wasting his time with string theory. Meanwhile, a double date between Raj, Emily and the Wolowitzes ends in embarrassment for Howard.”

Maybe there is some sort of clue into what is going on when you define “diremption,” which is the splitting up into two parts. Clearly, there is a larger relationship conflict here beyond what we know right now.

When it comes to Sheldon, we’re just curious to see where his next project could land, given that string theory was such a part of his life for so long, and his biggest achievement to date was a new element that he accidentally discovered … which was later disproven by other scientists around the world.
