‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 to feature return of Michael Beach as T.O. Cross
How is this for a surprise “Sons of Anarchy” season 7 announcement? Since filming has not started yet and probably will not until May (at least judging from past patterns), this is not often the time that we hear about casting or returning guest stars.
This is what makes the news that Michael Beach is coming back as T.O. Cross so welcome. He’s appeared in a handful of episodes over the years and heads the Grim Bastards Motorcycle Club. The last time that we saw him was season 5, when he was a part of “Crucifixed,” but the majority of his time on the show came back during the third season.
Creator / executive producer Kurt Sutter was the first person to report the news of Beach’s return, saying the following in a post on Twitter:
“GRIM BASTARDS on S7 of SOA. looking forward to seeing @MikeABeach. i’m fascinated by the delicate racial balance that exists between MCs.”
Beach also posted later that Cross will be back, and there is a lot to be pumped about here. With this character, one of the more interesting aspects of his story could be seeing how he reacts to the state of flux within SAMCRO. He was at one point close to Clay Morrow, but now that character is dead and Jax is solely leading the club. Last season also explored more how the community is impacted by the MC and some of their business dealings (namely the gun trade), and the trickle-down effect this could have on other clubs could be interesting to witness.
The final season of “Sons of Anarchy” should premiere in September on FX, unless of course the network does something crazy and changes things up.
