‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Sophie Turner claims Justin Bieber is real-life Joffrey

We usually try to stay away from posting about Justin Bieber these days for so many reasons, but this story was too fun and tempting that we couldn’t stay away from it. Plus, it’s hardly the first time the comparison has been used between one of the world’s most prominent pop stars (one with a reputation that has taken a nose dive the past two years) and the most ruthless king in all of Westeros.

The “Game of Thrones” actress making the comparison is Sophie Turner, who was young enough to be a big-time Belieber at the time that she started work on the HBO series. As a matter of fact, she even admits as such in a new interview with the English publication Sunday Times about her character of Sansa:

“I’ve been told by other cast members that I’m a lot like her. Maybe when I first joined the show. I was only 13, I was one of those girls that read OK! 12 times a week, and I was all ‘Ooh, Justin Bieber’ — who is the Joffrey Baratheon of our time.”

The good news for Bieber? He hasn’t ordered any beheadings just yet, and as far as we know, he hasn’t done anything creepy with a crossbow or intentionally humiliated his dwarf uncle during his wedding. However, he has had several run-ins with the law, and gave a testy deposition in a lawsuit recently where he refused to answer any questions properly.

“Game of Thrones” season 4 premieres on Sunday, April 6, and we hear that it is going to be quite the big year for Joffrey. We’d say more than that, but then HBO would try to cut off our head Ned Stark-style.
