‘The Following’ season 2, episode 10 preview: The serious and silly sides of Kevin Bacon

Anyone who is a regular viewer of “The Following” knows very well already that this is a heck of a serious show, and at times, it can take a lot of willpower to just sit through some of it.

So rather than getting you completely mired into some serious stuff right away with this article, let’s start with something silly: Kevin Bacon’s incredibly silly (but awesome) “Footloose” tribute he did while on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” late last week. For anyone out there who is still questioning whether or not Kevin still had the moves, this should serve as pretty ample proof that he’s still got them.

As for the latest sneak peek for Monday night’s episode (which you can see below), there is really one question that you have to ask yourself when it comes to Ryan: Is this guy being played yet again? We don’t understand how he is able to really trust anyone given some of the stuff that he’s been through, but his latest romantic partner Carrie is an especially tough person to believe in. Maybe she does want his best interest at heart, but she’s also a reporter. That means that she is always going to have some sort of ulterior motive, and he has to be aware of what that is at all times.

The best-case scenario for him here is that she wants to use him and some of the information he has for a story. The worst-case scenario? Well, let’s just say that it could be yet another follower who is a part somehow of a long con to get into Ryan’s life and ruin him.
