‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, episode 14 review: Jaime King’s return brings the fun

What is she up to? -Hart of Dixie” has always been a very fun show, but the presence of Jaime King always extends that even more so. While the writing kept things mostly fresh and frivolous during her maternity leave, we still feel as though it is safe to say that we are very happy to see her back in BlueBell.

So what she bring with her? In some ways, the show’s own version of “The Bachelorette.” She has a pair of male suitors interested in her in Carter and Enrique, and no idea who she is going to choose. This entire situation was very fun, especially thanks to the great scenes that were thrown in here involving Brick and Wade. We hope that Lemon and Wade never get anything romantic actually going on, since it’s so much fun to have a nice, platonic relationship in this town for a change.

As for Zoe’s story, it was a little more paint-by-numbers as we saw the story of her mother seemingly resolve itself for the time being, especially as she had more reminders that she did have many who cared about her and loved her right within the BlueBell city limits. For her at the moment, we’d really just love to see some sort of actual victory, or a health initiative that the town at least supported more.

Other assorted highlights:

1. It was nice to see Magnolia back, as well, for the episode! If nothing else, it is just a reminder that she is still around and important to the show.

2. Joel’s “I’m sorry donuts” introduced us to the concept that “I’m sorry donuts” could actually exist in the first place. Sidebar: We really want them.

3. Can we have Lavon and AnnaBeth back together? Please? Grade: B.
